About Us
The objectives of the Association are to
- to encourage the captive breeding of the following avifauna - finches,
gamefowl, parrots, pigeons, poultry and waterfowl, budgerigars and canaries.
- to provide support to and facilitate co-operation between bird breeder
- to provide an avenue for the interchange of stock
- to disseminate information on the keeping and breeding of birds in cativity
- to promote the conservation of species, both in natural environments and
in captivity
- to provide an avenue for social interchange between members of the Association
and their families
To meet these objectives we run many activities and services for our members including
- monthly meetings
- an annual action
- cent sale
- bird sale
- bus trips
- magazine
- bird register (a list of birds that each participating members keep. This
enables the commitee steer potential buyers to those people that have the birds
that they wish to purchase)
